Portree Primary School represents Highland Council at Euro Quiz Final in Edinburgh.

36 people made up of Portree Primary School staff and neighbours of the school took part in the Lucky2bhere Heart Start training at the school on 15th March. Trainers from the Lucky2bhere charity provided the training which was well received by all in attendance.A defibrillator is now housed at the school and is one of 14 that have been installed in the Portree area.

SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS
The school cross country championships were held on 25 February. This year’s boys’ champion is Ross MacLeod and the girls’ champion is Erin Baker. Nearly 100 pupils took part in the event and everyone completed the course and did really well. The top 7 runners in each race will now represent the school at The North of Scotland Cross Country Championships, in Alness, on 19th March.

World Book Day
A successful World Book Day was organised by P6 on 3 March. Pupils from across the school took part in a variety of activities organised by P6 to promote books, reading and literacy. The enthusiasm of all pupils was a highlight of the day.
