Weekly update 2nd June

A reminder that this coming Monday 5^th June is an Inservice Day.  We will look forward to seeing pupil back at school on Tuesday 6^th June.

Drumming Tuition

Allan Craig, our Drumming Tutor, expects to have some spaces come available in August for drumming tuition at school.  Allan will offer a come and try session during school time on 14^th June for anyone P3 and up who may be interested.

Soccer 7’s

Well done to all who took part in both the Soccer 7’s and Soccer 4’s events last weekend and many thanks to those who volunteered to coach.  The final Soccer 7’s event of this session will take place on Saturday 24^th June in Broadford.  Further information to follow.

Open Morning

Our whole school Open Morning takes place next Friday at 11.15.  Parents/Carers are welcome to visit classrooms to see pupils work.  We will have spaces set aside for families to take more than one pupil at a time to look at work.  Pupils can be dismissed with parents when they are leaving the open afternoon, if desired.  Report Cards will also be issued on Friday.

School Trips

Class teachers are currently organizing end of year trips, some of which have already taken place,  for all classes and will be in touch with further details.  These trips are made possible through generous donations from the Parent Council and would not be able to happen otherwise.

Volunteer Disclosures

New Highland Council policy states that only parents who hold a current Highland Council PVG are able to volunteer for school activities; trips, helping in classrooms, helping with swimming etc.  In order to facilitate this, we are in a position to arrange PVGs for any parents who wish to have them. The process is free and quite easy and we will hold a register of parents who hold PVGs when seeking volunteers for school activities. If you are interested in completing the PVG process, please contact me directly and I can get the process started for you.
