The children from the Portree Church of Scotland Sunday School recently performed in Gaelic at Columba 1400 in Staffin. The evening was held to welcome the Moderator of the Church of Scotland, Rev Dr Angus Morrison, to the presbytery of Strathcarron and Skye. Portree Primary travelled to Inverness recently to take part in the North of Scotland SSFA Soccer Sevens for pupils in P6 and under.
The Portree team played really well and were runners up in the tournament which was won by Milton of Leys. Earlier in the month the P7 and under team also travelled to Inverness to play in their tournament and were placed third overall. Again Milton of Leys were the winners of the P7 tournament.

The bus company have confirmed due to an amber weather warning which is forecasting strong winds, school transport will not run tomorrow.
All other parents should make their own decisions about whether children should attend school, with the health and safety of pupils central to any decision.
We expect the school to be open as normal tomorrow but, any changes to school openings will be posted on the school messaging service at 8.00 a.m. tomorrow morning.

We would be grateful if you could take a few minutes to complete the following electronic survey; if you would prefer a paper copy these are available from the school office or by telephoning 01478 613130
