Weekly Update 7th March

World Book Day 06/03/25

It was great to see so many pupils dressed up or in their PJs to mark World Book Day yesterday.  Lots of fun was had throughout the day, and lots of reading was done!  All pupils should have received a book and a book token.  The book token can be redeemed at Carmina Gadelica who have the following available:

  • Kiran Millwood Hargrave’s The Wolf Trials
  • Pokémon: The Epic Pocket Guide
  • Julia Donaldson’s and Axel Scheffler’s Who’s in Acorn Wood?
  • The Adventures of Paddington: Farm Escape!

Soccer 7s

The next Soccer 7s tournament will take place tomorrow (Saturday 8th March) in Portree from 11.30am onwards.

All participants have received an information letter.  We are delighted with how many pupils are taking part, as we will be able to field 3 teams for the first time in the 2024/25 season.

Skye and Lochalsh Young Carers will be hosting a fund-raising café while the tournament is going on.  This will be open from 10am-1pm and will be in the small kitchen in the high school reception area.  Please pop in to support this café.
