On arriving in Portree Primary School, children are assigned into one of our school houses:

Kiltarraglen
Scorrybreac
Glenvarragill
A maximum of 5 house points can be given at any one time and house points can be awarded for
- Being a good role model
- Showing good sportsmanship
- Determining to do your best
- Being helpful being kind to others
- Caring and sharing
- Looking after school property
- Being a good friend
- Being honest
- Demonstrating any of our school values
Pupils will also receive 5 house points for returning a WOW certificate or for receiving a Portree Primary Value Award during whole school assembly.
House points are collected on a monthly basis.
On the last day of each month the winning house will be awarded 15 minutes extra play.
At the end of the year, the winning house is awarded the House Cup and each member of the house is given a medal.
